And wrapping up today’s #43ratio set, the full movement of the #alangesohne #Zeitwerk.
Detail from the astonishing movement of the #Zeitwerk. #43ratio
Another set from the “as they were meant to be presented” department. The A. #Lange & Sohne #Zeitwerk. #43ratio
And here’s the movement side of the #FPJourne Chronometre Optimum. 4:3 aspect ratio from the #PhaseOne Medium Format #IQ180 sensor. 80 megapixel image results in a stunningly detailed 1m by 1.35m print on aluminium.
Showing the level of detail that exists in the print of the #FPJourne Chronometre Optimum. Full frame movement shot up next.
And now for a set of portrait aspect ratio photographs. The #FPJourne Chronometre Optimum. Full frame shot of the dial-side of the watch. This was printed 1m wide by 1.35m high. You really do need to see the print to appreciate this image 🙂
One of the things I’ve always struggled with on Instagram is the #square format. Having shot with Medium Format cameras for many years now, I’m a huge fan of the native 4:3 ratio of #645 Medium Format, and feel it is the most appropriate aspect ratio for watch photography. Going forward, I anticipate that pretty much everything I post will be in this format.
Thought I’d start by reposting the last three images as they were always intended to be seen, finishing off with the #Seiko #GrandSeiko SBGA129.
