Grand Seiko SBGR027 – Wako limited edition. Full set, near mint.
Just a reminder that a few pieces from my collection are available for purchase, including this stunning Wako limited edition that was only available in an edition of 30, released in 2004.
Back in 2015, I decided to add some Grand Seikos to my watch collection. Whilst I had been interested in the brand for some time, I had never actually had the chance to appreciate the watches properly in person until I made a trip to Baselworld in March of that year.
Having for the first time had the opportunity to handle some watches from the range, I resolved to add an example of each of the main movement types – quartz, mechanical, and Spring Drive – to my collection, which at that stage comprised entirely of Swiss timepieces.
Without a Grand Seiko dealer in Dubai, I had to resort to researching for suitable watches online, and soon started to discover just how much choice there was out there.
From a limited edition of just 40 pieces, released in 2013 and exclusive to the Wako store in Ginza, Tokyo.
As with all Wako limited editions, the dial is totally unique to this release, with raised Arabic numerals.
Condition: Near mint.
Movement: 9S65 (Mechanical automatic)
Accessories: Original box, presentation case, spare (black) strap with original deployant clasp, inspection certificate, operating instructions, and Seiko Premium card.
Price: US$7,500 including courier delivery world-wide.

Another limited edition of just 30 pieces for the Wako store in Ginza, Tokyo. The SBGT025 uses the 9F83 quartz movement, and as with most of the Wako editions, it features Arabic numerals. What makes this watch particularly interesting is that the hands and numerals are a very dark grey colour.
A couple of detail crops from the previous two posts for this week’s #macromonday. First up, the #SBGR027 Wako limited edition. Just 30 pieces of this incredible watch were made, and this one is for sale. A lot of interest in this on my DM’s so far with over 20 people making enquiries.
