Following on from the 5180, 5088 and 5131, it’s game, set and match to my friends @k2luxurywatches with this astonishing Patek Philippe 5089G-024. The cloisonné enamel dial requires more than 50cm of gold wire with transparent, opaque, and opalescent enamel in 10 different colours to create the beautiful tulip motif, recalling the tiled mosaics of Istanbul’s most spectacular imperial mosques.
Finishing off today’s trilogy of #Patek Philippes, here’s a previously unpublished shot of the incredible 5089G-20 that I was so privileged to shoot a few months back. Incredible workmanship in the marquetry dial. Thanks once again to my good friends at @k2luxurywatches for lending me the watch. #PatekPhilippe

Sure, you ultimately reach the limit of the resolution that the marquetry craftsman has created within his work. But there are still no flaws whatsoever. You just can’t beat Mother Nature 🌳 #PatekPhilippe
The wonderful thing about making dials from natural materials is that there is basically no limit as to how much you can zoom into them. You won’t see any flaws, because nature doesn’t make mistakes 🙂 #PatekPhilippe
