Four #macromonday posts today showing some details of watches I’ve shot in the past couple of weeks. As per usual, these are crops of the full frame images already shared. When you’re shooting 100 megapixel images, there’s a lot of options 🙂 First up is the @ferdinandberthoud Chronomètre FB 1, highlighting how the second hand is driven directly off the tourbillon. That slightly darker patch on the wheel is not a flaw – it’s the shadow of the second hand!
As @dubaiwatchweek draws to a close, one of the highlights for me was to be able to view an exhibition of the timepieces honoured at the 2016 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie Genève. Taking the top prize – the “Aiguille d’Or” – was the Ferdinand Berthoud Chronomètre FB 1, seen here in rose gold.
My sincere thanks to the team at Ferdinand Berthoud for loaning me the watch for a brief shoot this morning. Macro details to follow.
